Our compost consists of materials found in the Freestate like maize stalks, wheat straw, lucerne, peanut shells, cattle manure, sheep manure, horse manure and chicken litter. An aerobic process is used when the materials are mixed and exposed to a sterilizing period of 14 days while the temperature in the compost row is kept at 70 degrees Celsius to kill any pathogens, weed seeds and other harmful diseases. Enough water and oxygen ensure a healthy environment for microbes to multiply in their millions, speeding up the composting process, producing a top quality, no odor compost.
